Core Mediation was founded on a simple premise: that navigating conflict and change well comes down to understanding, empathy and collaboration.

Shaadi Tavakoli, our Founder, is an accredited mediator under the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS), with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and postgraduate qualifications in Change Management. She brings this together with 13 years' experience as a generalist HR professional, working across a full range of sectors (consulting, financial services, education, not-for-profit & hospitality) before stepping into mediation.

 

She works with clients across workplace disputes, family mediation, and property and inheritance matters, approaching each with objectivity, fairness and respect. Her HR background gives her a practical understanding of how conflict actually plays out in workplaces and families, not just in theory, and shapes how she helps people navigate change and disagreement.

Alongside mediation, Shaadi also provides HR advisory services for small and medium businesses, drawing on the same generalist HR experience to help business owners build practical, compliant foundations.
